A first half goal in the 18th minute from Norwegian sharpshooter, Erling Braut Haaland, and a late strike from Mateo Kovacic, six (6) minutes to full time, inflicted a loss on manager Enzo Maresca’s first in his first match in charge of Chelsea.
The Blues finished 28 points behind reigning Kings, Manchester City, in the 2023/24 season, and failed to qualify for the Uefa Champions League 2024/25.
