Brazil stunned Spain with a 4-2 triumph to reach the final of the Football (Women) event of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 on Tuesday 6 August, 2024.

Gabi Portilho, Adriana and Kerolin found the back of the net for Brazil in the semi final encounter against Spain at Stade de Marseille following an own goal from Irene Paredes to open scoring for the South Americans.
This result means Brazil’s Martha will get a chance to end her beautiful international career by competing for Gold after bagging suspension for the quarter finals and semi finals.
Goalscorer Kerolin said, “I’m so excited, so excited, so excited and I’m really, really, really impressed by my teammates.”
Duda Sampaio of Brazil hit the back of her own net to gift Spain a goal, and S. Paralluelo netted the second for the La Roja.
Brazil will fight the USA for Gold in the final on Saturday 10 August, 2024 at 16:00; USA defeated Germany by a lone goal in the semi finals to qualify for the final.
