Mikel Merino, Spain international, has joined Arsenal from La Liga club, Real Sociedad, on a long-term deal.

Merino, 28, has been a strong member of Sociedad since joining in 2018; he made 242 appearances, netting 27 times and recording 30 assists.
He kicked off his career in Osasuna. Born in Pamplona, Spain, he progressed through the youth ranks of Osasuna into the first team where he fielded 67 times and scored eight (8) goals.
