Brazil Plane crash: 61 people killed – Airline

A passenger plane loaded with 61 people crashed on the outskirts of Sao Paulo on Friday 9 August, 2024.

According to a statement issued by air company, Voepass, everyone on board died.

A footage circulating on social media revealed the plane’s fall and its destroyed fuselage in flames on the ground.

Via a statement, Voepass said: “The company regrets to inform that all 61 people on board flight 2283 died at the scene.


Ana Cândida Briski, communications director of the nearby city of Valinhos, told CNN, “there are no survivors”.

Investigation is underway as emergency responders are working at the crash site.
