According to Governor Eno: “I hosted the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, at Government House, Uyo, during his visit to the 2024 Chief of Army Staff Conference. Recognizing the importance of securing our state’s coastal areas, I called for the establishment of an additional Army battalion along the Oron axis.
This is not just about safety—it’s about creating an environment where our ARISE Agenda can thrive, ensuring peace and stability so that economic development and youth empowerment initiatives can flourish across Akwa Ibom State.
“Our state’s peaceful and welcoming nature made it the ideal location for this conference, and we are committed to maintaining that as we work towards a brighter future for all Akwa Ibomites.”
