President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has sent his congratulations to former US President, Donald Trump, following his “Republican nomination”.

The Ukrainian President also, strongly criticized the “shocking assassination attempt” on Trump.
Mr Trump survived an assassination attempt at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday 13 July, 2024; his security agents helped him to safety as he sustained a wound on his ear, but, no major injury.
Zelenskyy said: “I wished him strength and absolute safety in the future”, adding, “we agreed with President Trump to discuss at a personal meeting what steps can make peace fair and truly lasting”.
According to President Zelenskyy: “I spoke with @realDonaldTrump to congratulate him on the Republican nomination and condemn the shocking assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. I wished him strength and absolute safety in the future.
I noted the vital bipartisan and bicameral American support for protecting our nation’s freedom and independence.
Ukraine will always be grateful to the United States for its help in strengthening our ability to resist Russian terror. Russian attacks on our cities and villages continue every day.

Donald Trump will fight President Joe Biden for the White House in the US Presidential Election 2024 which will take place on Tuesday 5 November, 2024.
