Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, 2023 Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has congratulated Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK) following his victory at the UK General Election 2024.

The UK General Election 2024 which held on Thursday 4 July, 2024 had Starmer, Leader of the Labour Party, clinch a huge win over Rishi Sunak, Leader of the Conservative Party, and emerge new UK PM.
The former Vice President said, “Labour Party victory in the United Kingdom election is another testament of the virility of democracy”.
In his congratulatory message to Starmer, Atiku wrote: “The victory of the Labour Party in the United Kingdom election is another testament to the virility of democracy as a functional system for a common cause.
I congratulate the Prime Minister of the UK, Sir Keir Starmer, @Keir_Starmer. More importantly, I congratulate the people of the United Kingdom for making a choice of leadership that is deemed to be in the interest of the majority of the people.”
