Labour Party Leader and new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), Keir Starmer, who defeated Rishi Sunak of the Conservative Party in the UK General Election 2024, has named his cabinet with Reeves as chancellor and Rayner as deputy PM.

Rachel Reeves has become the first female Chancellor of the United Kingdom (UK).
Angela Rayner made deputy Prime Minister; Yvette Cooper made Home Secretary; and David Lammy made Foreign Secretary.
