UAE V Nigeria Visa Ban Lift: David Hundeyin investigates and has these findings

The Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation earlier made a ‘special announcement’ that, “FG, UAE reach agreement on resumption of travels for Nigerian passport holders”.

Reno Omokri also made his reaction following the FMINO ‘special announcement’ saying, Nigerians should “work on their behaviours as a people when we visit Dubai and other states in the UAE” – this simply means Reno Omokri supports the ‘special announcement’ by the FMINO and that all claims are true.

However, Nigeria’s investigative journalist, David Hundeyin, has carried out some digging and has reached his conclusion.

Hundeyin concluded that, “UAE government websites all end with the “.gov.ae” URL. This website is simply “.ae” which means it is not an official UAE government website. Furthermore, according to @scamadviser, the actual owner of the website is hiding their identity by using a paid proxy

So because of this tweet, I dug in a bit and apparently it turns out that the proxy owner being used to hide the true owner is some Canadian guy called Jean Geoffrion.

“This website is not affiliated with the UAE government and the middleman operating it appears to only be active in African jurisdictions…”

David Hundeyin’s Full Conclusion on the UAE-Nigeria Visa Ban Lift:

UAE government websites all end with the “.gov.ae” URL. This website is simply “.ae” which means it is not an official UAE government website. Furthermore, according to @scamadviser, the actual owner of the website is hiding their identity by using a paid proxy
