Paris 2024: Bayern new addition Olise shines for France in opener against USA

Bayern Munich new addition, Michael Olise, scored a goal and recorded an assist as France cruised past the United States of America (USA) in the opener of the football (men) event at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

France beat USA 3-0 in their first encounter on Wednesday 24 July, 2024.

The forward netted the second goal when he curled the ball into the bottom left-hand corner of the box in the 69th minute.

The 22-year had earlier assisted Alexandre Lacazette’s opening goal in the 61st minute; and Loïc Badé sealed victory for the Les Bleus in the 85th minute.

Michael Olise joined German Bundesliga club, Bayern Munich, from English Premier League club, Crystal Palace after the Bavarians signed Vincent Kompany as manager.
