Paris 2024: Andy Murray to retire after Olympics

British professional tennis player, Andy Murray, has announced he will retire after the Summer Olympics 2024 in Paris.

Murray intends to play in the singles and doubles in Paris, in what will be his fifth Games.

The 37-year old wrote: “I’m extremely proud to get do it one final time!”

He had his fist Games appearance in 2008 in Beijing, China, when he lost in straight sets to Lu Yen-Hsun in the first round.

Andy Murray wrote: “Arrived in Paris for my last ever tennis tournament @Olympics


Competing for 🇬🇧 have been by far the most memorable weeks of my career and I’m extremely proud to get do it one final time!”
