The insurance policy will kick off in September, 2024 when a new session resumes.
According to the Oyo State Government:
The @Oyshia_oy has revealed plans to provide health insurance coverage for 10,000 primary school students in the State. The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Sola Akande revealed this during a courtesy visit to the Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr Nureni Aderemi Adeniran.
In his response, the Chairman, Oyo SUBEB, Dr Nureni Adeniran promised that the Board will support the enrollment exercise and that a 6-man committee between the two agencies will be set up to work out modalities for the implementation of the policy and expedite actions on it. He added that the insurance policy will be flagged off in September 2024 when a new session resumes.
