‘I will continue to stand for press freedom in Russia and worldwide’ – President Biden

President of the United States (US), Joe Biden, has assured to “continue to stand for press freedom in Russia and worldwide”.

The US President’s assurance is coming following the sentencing of American and Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reporter, Evan Gershkovic, who was found guilty of espionage by Russian court and handed a verdict of sixteen (16) years behind bars.

According to World of Statistics (@stats_feed), the United States (US) ranked 55 on the ‘Press Freedom Ranking’ while Norway ranked number 1; Russia ranked 162.
