United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) revealed, “2.79m people are internally displaced” in the country, adding, “conflict constrains humanitarian access to people in need”.
UNOCHA revealed: “North Kivu, #DRCongo:
Armed violence has escalated in June, leading to massive displacement and attacks on humanitarian workers.
2.79M people are internally displaced.
Conflict constrains humanitarian access to people in need.”
According to a ‘Situation Report’ published on Monday 22 July, 2024 on reliefweb.int:
A new escalation of violence in the Lubero territory is leading to a massive displacement of the population.
