Former US President, Donald Trump, was shot at during his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday 13 July, 2024.
He was wounded by the shot in his ear, however, no major injury was suffered as his security agents covered and helped him out of the area.
President Biden said: “Unity is the most elusive goal of all, but nothing is more important than that right now.
We’ll debate and we’ll disagree, but we must unite as one nation to demonstrate who we are as Americans.
“There’s no place in America for this kind of violence – or any violence.
An assassination attempt is contrary to everything we stand for as a nation.
It’s not America, and we cannot allow this to happen.
“Jill and I extend our deepest condolences to the family of the victim who was killed at Donald Trump’s rally – he was a father protecting his family from the bullets being fired.
We’re also praying for the full recovery of those who were injured.”
The US Presidential Election 2024 is just few months away; Trump will lock horns with Biden for the White House on Tuesday 5 November, 2024 when the election will hold.
