The Governor said, “women across America can breathe a sigh of relief today.”

She added, “the fight is not over”, assuring that, “New York will be a safe harbor for reproductive freedom”.

The New York Governor’s statement is in reaction to a tweet by information platform, The Associated Press (@AP), which says: “The Supreme Court preserves access to widely used abortion medication, throwing out legal challenge from abortion opponents”.

Governor Hochul quoted @AP tweet and commented: “Women across America can breathe a sigh of relief today.

But make no mistake: This case should have never reached the highest court and our fight is not over.

As fundamental rights remain under attack across the nation, New York will be a safe harbor for reproductive freedom.”

She said: “Today’s Supreme Court decision is good news, but anti-abortion forces across the country aren’t stopping their relentless assault on women’s rights.

New York will fight for IVF, contraception, abortion access, and all reproductive freedoms — always.”
