Spokesperson of Israel Defence Forces (IDF), Daniel Hagari, said, the reason why Palestinian militants, known as Hamas, “systematically operate from schools, U.N. facilities, hospitals and mosques” is because they hope that “international law and public sympathy will provide a shield for their military activities”.

According to Hagari: “Hamas hopes that international law and public sympathy will provide a shield for their military activities—which is why they systematically operate from schools, U.N. facilities, hospitals and mosques.”
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced on Saturday 8 June, 2024 the rescue of four (4) Israeli hostages in Central Gaza.
They were kidnapped on Saturday 7 October, 2023 when Hamas struck the Southern region of Israel by surprise.
Hamas’ attack on Israel in the early hours of October 7 led to the killing of hundreds of Israeli with many other taken hostage.
