The US President made the statement as he welcomed the Romanian President to the White House “to celebrate Romania’s 20th anniversary as a member of the NATO Alliance”.
President Biden said: “And on Tuesday, I welcomed President Iohannis to celebrate Romania’s 20th anniversary as a member of the NATO Alliance.
“We reaffirmed our support for Ukraine as it defends itself against Russia’s aggression, and my appreciation for Romania’s support for Ukrainian refugees.”
