Premier League 2023/24: How clubs shared top spot throughout campaign

Manchester City are Champions of England for the fourth time in a row after winning the Premier League 2023/24 title, however, another club spent more days at the top spot of the table throughout the campaign.

Any club can hold the top spot for as long as possible but winning the title is all that matters.

Liverpool held the top spot throughout the 2023/24 season of the Premier League for eighty-seven (87) days while Manchester City spent seventy-eight (78) days at the same spot.

According to the Premier League, here is how top spot was shared throughout the Premier League 2023/24 season:

• Liverpool – 87 days

• Manchester City – 78 days

• Arsenal – 76 days

• Tottenham Hotspur – 26 days

• Brighton – 7 days

• Newcastle United – 7 days

• West Ham United – 2 days

Pep Guardiola’s Man City would have clinched double this season, but, got overpowered by neighbours, Manchester United, in the final of the FA Cup 2023/24.

The final of the FA Cup 2023/24 which took place right inside Wembley Stadium on Saturday 25 May, 2024 saw Erik Ten Hag’s United defeat the Cityzens 2-1.

United got its goals through Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo while Manchester City grabbed a late consolation through Jeremy Doku.

HC: So, Manchester United did not even spend a day at the top spot. C’mon!
