The British professional boxer conceded a split-decision points defeat in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on an action-filled night as the Ukrainian professional boxer became boxing’s first four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion.
In the ninth round, Fury who started well was given a standing count and saved by the bell following Usyk’s fierce attack.
Fury appeared certain of victory before Usyk broke down in tears when he was pronounced winner.
115-112 and 114-113 for the Ukrainian, with a third judge scoring it 114-113 to Fury, reads the scorecard.
