Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, said, his side “don’t want to lose the game” against Real Madrid in the UCL 2023/24.
Manchester City will lock horns with Real Madrid in the Uefa Champions League 2023/24 quarter final second leg at Etihad Stadium on Wednesday 17 April, 2024.
In the first leg of the tie, both sides shared points after a 3-3 outcome at Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid, Spain on Tuesday 9 April, 2024.
At the Press conference (On Kyle Walker injury update), Guardiola said: “I will see the training, the last one or two training sessions he feels good… I don’t know if from the bench or not but as Bernardo said it is good news. Today we have the last session and we will decide. Of course [Kyle] Walker is important. The attributes and quality of Kyle everyone knows it, he is special.”
On the game, Guardiola said: “We need to feel the pressure – we don’t want to lose the game. We need hunger to compete. It is true we feel more comfortable because we won. Our people at home will help us a lot.
“We have to be prepared. But we won’t know until the 10th minute the qualities of those playing. Some things we need to do better that we weren’t good at in the first game. We have to give them credit, Real Madrid are not just any opponent. We have to impose our way of playing as much as possible.”
