Bayern Munich Germany winger, Leroy Sane, has hailed his teammate, Harry Kane, saying, “he always helps us, he scores lots of goals”.
He hoped the Englishman “continues his run against Arsenal” when they clash in London today.
Arsenal and Bayern Munich will lock horns in the Uefa Champions League 2023/24 quarter final first leg at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday 9 April, 2024 at 20:00 (WAT).
At a press conference ahead of the clash, Leroy Sane said:
On Harry Kane: “I hope he continues his run against Arsenal. He always helps us, he scores lots of goals. It’ll definitely be a special game for him. He’s really looking forward to it. It’s easy to play with him because he’s a clever player. He knows how his teammates play and tries to use that and to help his teammates. We have a very good connection. He’s a very good striker.”
On his recent injury: “The pain before the Heidenheim game was so great that I couldn’t train. We decided it didn’t make any sense to play the Heidenheim game. It’s settled now and I’m pleased about that.”
On Arsenal: “They’re a very good team, play aggressive attacking football, but are also very solid in defence. It’ll be a hard game. We need to show our strengths as a group.”
On the encounter: “We want to perform well over 90 minutes, be focused and do well. We need to bring energy and want to show what we can do and our qualities. We want to win the game.”
