Pep Guardiola’s side, who were predictably dominant, opened scoring very early, in the 2nd minute of play when Daiki Hashioka hit the back of his own net.
It took more than 60 minutes for the hosts to double their lead through Mateo Kovacic in the 64th minute, and Erling Braut Haaland made it three in the 76th minute from the penalty spot.
Luton Town fought and pulled one back in the 81st minute through Ross Barkley, however, six minutes later, Doku slotted a beautiful solo goal into the bottom corner to make it four for City, and Josko Gvardiol sealed win for the Cityzens in the 3rd minute of additional time.
With this outcome, Manchester City have grabbed the top spot of the table with 2 points above Arsenal and Liverpool, who have 71 points each, while Luton Town remain stuck in the red zone with 25 points on the 18th spot.
