The Blues discomfited their visitors 4-3 with Palmer netting a hat-trick in the 19th, 90+10 and 90+11 minutes.
Conor Gallagher opened scoring for Mauricio Pochettino’s side early, in the 4th minute; Garnacho scored a brace for Erik Ten Hag’s side in the 34th and 67th minutes, and Bruno Fernandes scored in the 39th minute.
Cole Palmer is “Calm. Composed. Cole”, Chelsea wrote, following the Englishman’s beautiful performance in the encounter.
On the other side, Liverpool emerged victorious against Sheffield United, winning 3-1 at Anfield.
