According to the Lagos State Government: “The Jaekel House.
“This 2-storey colonial mansion built in 1898 can be found in the Railway Compound on Murtala Mohammed Way, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.
“The Jaekel House is described by many as a classic colonial architecture because of its picturesque aray of images, personalities, places of the old Railway Corporation and historical events.”
