Israel V Hamas: ‘We have offered shelter to hundreds of thousands of families in Gaza’ – UNRWA

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) revealed, it has “provided critical aid and offered shelter to hundreds of thousands of families in Gaza”.

Since the fighting between Israel and Hamas started on Saturday 7 October, 2024, more than 30,000 have lost their lives, and above 70,000 are wounded in Gaza.

According to UNRWA: “#Gaza: @UNRWA is the backbone of the humanitarian operation.


Since the onset of the war, we have provided critical aid and

🔹 reached over 1.8 million people with flour

🔹 supplied nearly 3.6 million medical consultations

🔹 offered shelter to hundreds of thousands of families.”


The Agency added: “Any attempt to sideline UNRWA must stop.


“UNRWA is the backbone of the humanitarian operation in Gaza.


“Any effort to distribute aid without them is simply doomed to fail.”
