His statement is coming following the agreement of manager Unai Emery to extend his contract at the Villa Park.
The Egyptian businessman expressed his thrill after Emery made the decision to stay at the Villa Park, adding, the Villans are preparing to “celebrate our 150th anniversary, to its historic levels of greatness”.
The Spanish manager will continue as head coach of Aston Villa until 2027.
According to avfc.co.uk, Chairman Sawiris said: “We are thrilled and are building a sporting operation around Unai to support him with a view of returning Aston Villa, a co-founder of the English Football League as we prepare to celebrate our 150th anniversary, to its historic levels of greatness.”
