Femi Fani-Kayode has said a prayer for Russia, asking “God to grant the people of Russia victory over their adversaries and protect them from evil and bloodthirsty men”.
His prayer is coming following the recent “terror attack” at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow which claimed more than hundred lives.
According to cnn.com:
Attackers armed with guns and incendiary devices opened fire at random at the Crocus City complex – home to both a popular music hall and shopping center – on Friday night.
At least 133 people are known to have been killed at the vast complex, according to the latest update from Russia’s Investigative Committee on Saturday. Authorities say that number is likely to keep rising as emergency responders work through the scene.
Fani-Kayode said: “I had the honor and privilege of being part of a delegation of prominent and distinguished Nigerians and friends of the Russian Federation to the Russian Embassy in Abuja today to offer our condolences and express our solidarity with President Vladimer Putin and the Russian people for the horrific and barbaric terror attack that took place in Moscow a few days ago.
“On the delegation were Professor Isa Pantami (@ProfIsaPantami, the former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Senator Mohammed Hassan, Senator Bashir Lado, Hon. Aliyu Farouk and Dr. Joseph Onoh.
“We were warmly received by the Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Alexey Leonidovitch Shebarshin and his team and we were inspired and encouraged by the courage, resilience and strength that they displayed despite the circumstances of our visit and the horror that their people had been subjected to during the attack.
“May God continue to be with the people of Russia, may He grant them victory against their adversaries and may He protect them from evil and bloodthirsty men.”
