Dessers, who fields for Scottish Premiership club, Rangers, opened scoring for Coach Finidi George’s side from the penalty spot in the 38th minute.
Substitute Ademola Lookman made it two for Nigeria in the 84th minute, however, the Black Stars pulled one back late, in the 5th minute of additional time through Jordan Ayew.
In his post-match comments, Dessers said: “Naija no dey carry last.
“Nigeria 2 v 1 Ghana.”
