Joe Biden, President of the United States (US), has assured the people of Maryland, that, his administration will “move heaven and earth to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge as soon as humanly possible”.

The Francis Scott Key Bridge in the city of Baltimore collapsed after a container ship crashed into it.
The bridge collapsed into the Patapsco River with vehicles and people.
President Biden said: “The Francis Scott Key Bridge is vital to our economy, and it’s vital to our quality of life.
“That’s why I’ve directed my team to work with Maryland and move heaven and earth to reopen the port and rebuild the bridge as soon as humanly possible.”
He added: “To the people of Baltimore:
“We’re with you in the wake of this devastating bridge collapse – and we’re going to stay with you for as long as takes.”
