Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, attended the wake and night of remembrance of former Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, Abimbola Ogunbanjo OFR.

At the event, the Governor offered his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, and confessed, he has been “reminded of the fragility of life”.
Abimbola Ogunbanjo died alongside Dr. Herbert Wigwe, Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings in “helicopter crash” in the United States (US).
The tragedy also claimed the lives of Chizoba Wigwe and Chizi Wigwe, wife and son of Dr. Wigwe.
Governor Sanwo-Olu said: “I attended the wake and night of remembrance of my dear egbon, Abimbola Ogunbanjo OFR. It was a somber occasion, but also a time to honor and remember the life and times of a man who has touched our lives in so many ways.
“As we gather, we are reminded of the fragility of life and find comfort in the fact that we are not alone in our grief.
“To the family of the deceased, I offer my deepest condolences. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.”
