Alexey Navalny, Russian opposition leader, has died at the Arctic Prison colony where he was serving a 19-year sentence, as disclosed by Russia’s federal penitentiary service.

According to Kremlin, President Vladimir Putin, has been informed of the death of Navalny.
Navalny’s press secretary, Kira Yarmysh, says, she has not been able to confirm his death.
Yarmysh reveals, Navalny’s lawyer is travelling to the site of the prison where he had been serving his sentence.

According to aljazeera.com:
Yulia Navalnaya, Navalny’s wife, said she did not know “if we should believe the terrible news we have heard today.
“If this is true, I would like to tell Putin and his friends that they will not go unpunished.”
