It’s two (2) years already since Russia invaded Ukraine, and Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, alongside President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, have taken a stand to unite and ensure “that Putin and the Russian regime are held accountable”.
Both leaders also said, they will ensure “the people of Ukraine have the aid they need”.
According to Canada PM, Trudeau: “Canada and Poland are united in support of Ukraine. President @AndrzejDuda and I reaffirmed that support – and that unity – during our meeting today.
“We spoke about what more we can do to make sure that the people of Ukraine have the aid they need, and that Putin and the Russian regime are held accountable. I also thanked him for welcoming Canadian troops to Poland, where they have been training Ukrainian forces.
We’ll keep working together on this – and on other issues that matter to Canadians and the Polish people.”
Russia has recorded some victories since invading Ukraine, taking control of some territories including, Avdiivka, which was recently taken.
According to bbc.com:
Ukrainian forces have withdrawn from the eastern town of Avdiivka in Russia’s biggest victory since the fall of Bakhmut in May last year.
