Navalny’s Death: Kremlin says Western statements ‘unacceptable’

Several reactions from different western countries have poured in following the death of Russian opposition leader, Alexei Navalny.

Alexei Navalny died in the Arctic Prison colony where he was serving a 19-year sentence.

Kremlin said, President Vladimir Putin has been alerted of the death of Navalny.

According to a state media report, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has frowned at reactions from Western countries pointing fingers at Moscow concerning Navalny’s death, saying their reactions are “absolutely unacceptable”.

Peskov said the reaction to reports of Navalny’s death was “hysterical” and their statements were “absolutely unacceptable”, the TASS news agency reported.
