A man aged thirty (30) shot and killed twelve (12) of his relatives in a remote rural area in southern Iran.

This is the most lethal in years.
Ebrahim Hamidi, Head of the justice department of the province of Kerman, tells semiofficial ISNA news agency, the gunman opened fire on his father, brother as well as other relatives early morning in the village due to disputes in the family.
The report did not name the assailant, however, disclosed he used a Kalashnikov assault rifle.
Occasional shootings are being reported by local media, but this attack has had the highest death toll in Iran, where citizens are only allowed to possess hunting rifles, common in rural areas.
