Bochum fought hard to clinch three points at home in the Bundesliga 2023/24 match against German Kings, Bayern Munich, on Sunday evening.
The hosts won 3-2, inflicting another top flight humiliating loss on Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Bayern Munich’s previous clash was against toppers, Bayer Leverkusen; Xabi Alonso’s side discomfited their visitors 3-0.
English forward Harry Kane’s late goal in the 87th minute was not enough to help Bayern Munich as they suffered their third successive defeat in nine days; Tuchel’s side lost to Bayer Leverkusen (Bundesliga), Lazio (UCL), and Bochum (Bundesliga).
In the 14th minute, Jamal Musiala netted Bayern’s first, but the Bavarians concede two from Takuma Asano and Keven Schlotterbeck in the 38th and 44th minutes respectively.
In the 76th minute, Bayern’s Dayot Upamecano was sent off, and Bochum netted their third in the 78th minute.
With this result, Bayern Munich are still on the second spot with 50 points, 8 points trailing leaders, Bayer Leverkusen, while Bochum are 11th with 25 points.
