AFCON 2023: Nigeria 1-0 Angola – Ademola Lookman again! Fire Super Eagles into semis

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have progressed to the semi finals of the 2023 CAF Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) following a lone goal triumph over the Palancas Negras.

Forward, Ademola Lookman, netted the only goal of the game in the 41st minute after beautifully converting Moses Simon’s cross, firing Nigeria into the last-four of the tournament.

Angola made a fine start into the encounter and were denied in the 4th minute when Stanley Nwabali kept out Mabululu’s close-range volley.

Victor Osimhen’s goal was cancelled by VAR, his header from Lookman’s free kick was disallowed for offside.

The Super Eagles fought hard and defended against the charges of the Palancas Negras until the end and secured their spot in the semi finals.
