Egyptian forward, Mohamed Salah, missed a penalty in the 22nd minute, however, went ahead to open scoring for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the 49th minute.
Five minutes after Salah’s opener, Newcastle United levelled through Alexander Isak.
Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo made it two and three for the Reds in the 74th and 78th minutes respectively, but Sven Botman headed a corner in the 81st minute before Salah sealed victory for the hosts in the 86th minute.
With this outcome, Liverpool have taken the top spot of the table after amassing forty-five (45) points, three (3) points ahead of Aston Villa who have forty-two (42) points, while Newcastle United are 9th with twenty-nine (29) points.
