Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, “salute” a troop that lost his leg in the fighting against “terrorists”.

Shalom Shatrit, a 13th Battalion fighter, has been tagged a “hero” by PM Netanyahu, adding, “Shalom continues to mobilize for our fighters at the front”.

PM Netanyahu said: “I met a hero –


“Shalom Shatrit, a 13th Battalion fighter in the Golani Brigade, lost his leg in battles against terrorists on October 7 at an outpost near Nahal Oz.


“These days Shalom continues to mobilize for our fighters at the front.


“I salute him!”

The fighting between Hamas and Israel was triggered following the surprise attack launched by Hamas on the Southern region of Israel on Saturday 7 October, 2023.

The attack led to the killing of hundreds of Israelis with several others taken hostage by Hamas.
