AFCON 2023: Nigeria 2-0 Cameroon – Lookman fires Super Eagles into quarter finals

The Super Eagles of Nigeria discomfited the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the round of 16 match of the 2023 CAF Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) at Stade Felix Houphouët-Boigny, Abidjan, Ivory Coast on Saturday 27 January, 2024.

Thanks to a brace by Ademola Lookman in the 36th and 90th minutes which pushed Nigeria into the quarter final stage of the tournament.

The Super Eagles will lock horns with Angola after the Southern Africa nation cruised past neighbours, Namibia, by three goals to nil earlier on Saturday.

In another set of round of 16 matches, Equatorial Guinea and Egypt will face Guinea and DR Congo respectively on Sunday 28 January, 2024.
