Former Nigeria forward, Kanu Nwankwo, has expressed his joy following Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over Cameroon in the round of 16 of the 2023 CAF Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON).

The outcome has secured a spot for Nigeria in the quarter finals of the tournament.
Kanu wrote, “KAN U BELIEVE IT YESSSSSSSS KANU BELIEVE IT Super Eagles Nigeria are on their way to the quarterfinals.”
Atalanta BC forward, Ademola Lookman, netted the two goals for the Super Eagles in the 36th and 90th minutes against the Indomitable Lions at the Stade Felix Houphouët-Boigny, Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on Saturday 27 January, 2024.
Kanu who has won the UEFA champions league with Ajax, two (2) Premier League titles, said, the Super Eagles were able to crush the Indomitable Lions due to their “combined efforts”, and prayed “more goals” for Nigeria as they progress in the tournament.
Nigeria will lock horns with Angola in the quarter finals of the tournament.
Angola clinched a spot in the quarter finals after a 3-0 win over Namibia.
