On Tuesday, the governors were seen in a video led by their chairman, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq boarding a bus to the president’s residence.
They converged on Lagos House at Marina from where they headed to the president’s residence.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima and Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff (CoS) to the president, were also present during the visit.
He added, “it’s a huge burden on the states finances;the cost of chattered flights and other expenses.”
According to Senator Sani: “After this festivities, the President should discourage State Governors from leaving their states to ‘pay him homage’.First,it’s a huge burden on the states finances;the cost of chattered flights and other expenses.
Secondly, there appears to be a pattern of escalation of security threats during the holiday seasons.Lets be serious about this slogan of cutting the cost of Governance.”
