The Israel PM who visited late Mark’s family alongside his wife, Sara Netanyahu, said, “The land of Israel was bought with suffering. The pain is great, but we win thanks to this spirit.”
The fighting between Hamas and Israel which started on Saturday 7 October, 2023 following a surprise attack on Israel by Hamas has resulted to the death of several Israeli soldiers and Hamas fighters.
Innocent civilians from Israel and Palestine have also been killed in the fighting.
PM Netanyahu said: “Sara and I met with the family of a Givat patrol soldier, the late Fedia Mark, who was killed in the battles in Gaza.
“The family told us that even if Pedia knew the end of the story, he would have entered Gaza and done everything.
“Today is the test of the people of Israel. The land of Israel was bought with suffering. The pain is great, but we win thanks to this spirit.”
