Since Israel imposed a complete siege on the city of Gaza, it has been difficult getting food alongside other necessities across into Gaza.
However, President Biden, after discussion with Leaders of the region, has been able to ensure food and other humanitarian aid get through to Gaza.
The siege imposed on Gaza by Israel was one of the retaliatory actions carried out by Israel on Gaza following the surprise attack launched by Palestinian Militants known as Hamas on Israel.
President Biden said: “More boxes of
@USAID food aid are now headed to Egypt before moving on to Gaza.
“Access to humanitarian aid is critical for civilians and I’m committed to working with our partners to increase the supply of food, water, and medicine, without diversion by Hamas.”
The US President alongside European Leaders have taken a stand together and concluded on a “two-state solution” to end the fighting between Hamas and Israel, also to bring about peace within the Middle East.
