The German manager also gave some update on his squad ahead of the clash tomorrow.
There are concerns on the match potentially being postponed.
On the potential postponement of the match, Tuchel said: “Our plans have been set for a while now. We will travel on the day of the game. Should the game be postponed, then it could be the case that we won’t travel at all. There will be a pitch inspection today and another one tomorrow. As of right now, we’re assuming the game will take place.
“We have an extremely important game coming up tomorrow. If we want to reach the final in Berlin, then we have to deliver tomorrow. It’s a knockout game, simple as that.”
On the squad, Tuchel said: “Our final training session will be this afternoon. Noussair Mazraoui is a bit under the weather and @JamalMusiala was sick yesterday. We also need to see how Kingsley Coman is feeling after rolling his ankle in the last game.
“Things are looking good for @leongoretzka_, and he could be an option for the matchday squad. The game comes too soon for Dayot Upamecano and Raphael Guerreiro to return. @SergeGnabry has recovered from illness, and we assume that he will be able to be part of the squad.
“It’s important for him to see a lot of playing time. Physically, he’s a machine. He’s able to implement our instructions like no one else. In addition to his natural talent, he’s also in peak physical condition. There aren’t enough superlatives to describe his current form.”
