Clean Hydrogen: President Biden announces $7bn Federal investement

United States (US) President, Joe Biden, has announced a “$7bn Federal investment in clean hydrogen” on Friday 13 October, 2023.

He described the move as “one of the largest clean manufacturing investments in our history”, adding, “it’ll create tens of thousands of good-paying jobs”.

President Biden said: “Today, I’m announcing a $7 billion federal investment, which has attracted over $40 billion in private investment in clean hydrogen.

 

“It’s one of the largest clean manufacturing investments in our history.


“And it’ll create tens of thousands of good-paying jobs.


“Folks, the emissions reductions from our Hydrogen Hubs – sites that are generating, storing, and transporting clean hydrogen – will be the equivalent of taking 5.5 million gasoline cars off the road.

 

“That’s no joke.”
