Israel is fighting against Palestinian militants known as Hamas to “defend and protect” itself.
Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel in the early hours of Saturday 7 October, 2023, and since then, the fighting has only heightened.
Rosenfeld said: “Those who fell in this despicable surprise attack. We bow our heads, but not to the ground. Our heads are up, we are proud of our country, we will defend it and we will do everything to protect it.”
Following heavy rocket barrages shot, Israeli families have had to run to bomb shelters.
According to IDF: “For the 7th day in a row, Israeli families have to run to bomb shelters to take cover from heavy rocket barrages fired at them.”
