Attack On Israel: Rishi Sunak lands in Egypt ‘to help prevent the spread of vi*lence’

United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, said, “the UK stands ready to help prevent the spread of violence”.

The UK PM landed in Egypt today, Friday 20 October, 2023, and disclosed, after holding talks with President of Egypt, El-Sisi in Cairo, “the Rafah border crossing will be reopened”.

He also said, after the Hamas attacks in Israel, “all leaders must work together to avoid any regional escalation”.

Hamas surprisingly attacked Israel in the early hours of Saturday 7 October, 2023, killing hundreds of Israelis and taking several others hostage.

PM Sunak said: “I am in Egypt as part of wider efforts to prevent the spread of violence following the Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel.


“All leaders must work together to avoid any regional escalation and ensure humanitarian aid reaches civilians in Gaza.


“The UK stands ready to help.


“Every effort must be made to stop terrorism and protect civilians.


“That’s what @AlsisiOfficial and I agreed when we spoke in Cairo earlier today.


“I welcome efforts by Egypt to reopen the Rafah border crossing, and I will continue working with leaders to find routes to peace.”
