President Biden had earlier announced, he will travel to Israel to “show solidarity” to Israel as it fights Hamas to defend itself.
The fighting between Hamas and Israel started in the early hours of Saturday 7 October, 2023 after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel, killing hundreds of Israelis and taking several others hostage.
The US President has assured PM Netanyahu of America’s “rock solid support”, as well as said, Israel has the right to defend itself.
PM Netanyahu wrote: “Welcome President Biden.”
Earlier, Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State, visited Israel where he assured PM Netanyahu of America’s “ironclad support” as they fight Hamas.
