Kathy Hochul, New York State Governor, has sent condolence greetings following the massive explosion at Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza on Tuesday 17 October, 2023.

The bombing of the hospital killed hundreds, Palestinian officials disclosed.
Governor Hochul said, “New York mourns the innocent lives lost due to the explosion at Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza.”
Palestinian officials are blaming Israel for the bombing of the hospital in Gaza following retaliatory airstrikes from Israeli forces on Gaza since Saturday 7 October, 2023.
However, Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, said, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has nothing to do with the bombing of the hospital in Gaza, further saying, “the brutal terrorists” should be held responsible.
In the early hours of Saturday 7 October, 2023, Hamas who are Palestinian militants, launched a surprise attack on Israel, killing hundreds of Israelis and taking several others hostage.
Governor Hochul said: “New York mourns the innocent lives lost due to the explosion at Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza.
“We await further information from the White House on the explosion’s cause but continue to call for civilians to be protected & humanitarian aid for all impacted by this conflict.”
